Our studio has a new location!

We have BIG news! Our London studio has made the move across the pond and we are now located in Charlotte, North Carolina! A heart-felt thank you to all the lovely brides in England we have had the pleasure of working with as well as those in the events industry. We are super excited to begin new adventures in the USA! All enquiries can be made to amanda.gurney@gmail.com and our main website Darling Belle Events will be up and running with updated information by the end of the month. Happy July, darlings!

All that glitters

We absolutely adore when brides are up for a bit of glitter, glitz and gold incorporated into their big day. Shimmery goodness and sparkling delights, champange bubbles and glittering lights! After all, glitter is our favourite colour (if it were actually a colour, of course).

Polka Dots? Yes please!

1. polka dot blusher veil from etsy// 2. fabulous polka dot dress via tumblr// 3. handbag from kate spade
4. vintage pumps via Pinterest // 5. michelle roth’s wedding dress to die for // 6. polka dot tie for the gentleman via Gia Canali

I don’t know what it is about polka dots but there isn’t a polka dot pattern that I don’t love! Maybe it derives from our constant fascination by Kate Spade and her easy-to-love designs and ensembles, or maybe it’s my love for Roy Lichtenstein’s notorious pop art. I find them to be so fun and versatile-they can be preppy, charming, sophisticated, playful, and downright glamorous! If I can find a way to wear them or incorporate them, I will!

colour: pink : Ballet inspired wedding

In our wedding planning opinions nothing says pretty inspiration like a ballet. It's classic with pale pink ribbon sashes, soft floating skirts, sleek hairstyles and poised slippers.

This gracefully elegant trend can easily translate into a modern evening city wedding, or a classic, afternoon party adorned with countryside (as long as the groom doesn't feel compromised with lashing of dainty pinkness!)

We are expanding!

We are looking to expand our team and in particular looking for weekly and monthly contributors covering DIY, product roundups, inspiration shoots, etc. You do not have to be in the wedding industry to apply; we love seeing weddings from a design point of view! If you’re interested, drop us a line at darlingbelleevents@talktalk.net with CONTRIBUTOR as the subject, your info, link to your blog, topics you’re interested in covering, and why you think you’d be the perfect fit. You’ll need to have a aesthetic, knowledge in  Photoshop, and be able to have access to a photographer or be able to take professional looking pictures (particularly for DIY projects).
